We dropped by Afrifest Cincy 2025 which was held on Saturday July 19th at Sawyer Point park in downtown Cincinnati. The atmosphere was as jovial as always. Music was blaring from the stage as the tantalizing smell of food hovered welcomingly from the numerous food trucks at the festival.

There were many exhibitors of handcrafted products all depicting the rich diversity of African immigrants. There were Nigerians, Senegalese, Ghananians, Kenyans, Congolese and Ivorians all with unique products for sale.

The party started as early as noon and not even the blazing summer heat nor the thunderstorms could dampen the spirit. DJ Shinski and DJ TizieB of TZB Ent serenaded the revellers with a great selection of Afrobeats.

Mayor of Cincinnati Aftab Pureval also dropped by and partook of the festivities too. Overally it was a well organized event. Hopefully 2026 edition will be bigger. Good job APNET!
